Clues -
Starting from Portland, go east on Stark.
Pass Mt. Hood Community College.
Go left at light, Troutdale Rd.
Take 1st right, Beaver Creek Lane for approx. 1/4 mile.
Stop at Kiku Park which will be located on your right.
Go to right side of basketball court and follow cement path to beginning of
trail. About 15 steps to your right will be a posting of warning signs for
trail.
Be sure to read!
Return to end of cement path.
Follow trail.
Trail comes to a 3 way fork in road and you stay on the center path to fence.
At fence take a left.
As fence ends continue going right as trail goes downhill.
You will come upon a curvaceous staircase.
Take the 139 steps down and hang a left at the bottom.
At the 4 way intersection follow center path across bridge.
Your getting close now........
Approx. 22 steps from the bridge is a large rock on the left side of the
pathway.
You're just about there.....
About 10 more steps will put you beneath a large tree branch bent in an L.
The base of this tree is to your right.
Hidden in the root spaces at the bottom of the trunk, under ivy you will find
the Letterbox #1
